MID-DAY DEVELOPMENTAL ENGAGEMENT PUPPY POP-IN
The Intent
For the developing dog, consistency is the ultimate key to success. Midday puppy pop-in visits provide a sophisticated alternative to board and train, or just dog walking. This visit is especially helpful for young dogs or newly adopted dogs that are not yet able to be left unsupervised out of the crate or designated area just yet. During a pop-in your pup gets essential relief from crate time to go potty and have structured training, engagement and enrichment.
Structured engagement will be customized to meet your dogs needs and includes:
TRAIN Learning basic obedience and manners concepts like loose leash walking and other basic commands.
PLAY Playing politely with rules and manners for impulse control while learning important life concepts such as drop it, leave it, and wait (for permission to re-engage in play).
SOCIAL Mental enrichment time guided by the trainer that gets your dog’s nose and brain working, which provides a period of “settle down” time before going back into the crate until the family arrives home for the evening.
The Methodology
We believe in making learning fun to keep your dog in a mind set of LOVING learning and always coming back for more. A structured hour long crate break can give you the piece of mind that your dog is learning and thriving while you are away at work, and also gives an outlet for mind and body, which can, in turn, help avoid a chaotic household in the evenings. Training, games and enrichment activities are then transferred to the owner in mini coaching session with the trainer once per cycle. We will provide a daily “report card” by texting details of each visit with photos or short videos, potty break status, concepts learned, games and enrichment activities completed. You can then implement these enrichment activities and learning games with your dog when you are home to have fun learning time, reinforcement of key behavioral concepts and be well on your way to building a lasting, positive, leadership bond with your dog.
